This image was uploaded to our database at the time of creation, suggesting that the upload pipeline functions. Heading and paragraph text have been applied and can be used as intended by stand web practice. This image was taken by the long range telelphoto instrument HiRISe, a camera onboard NASA's Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter Spacecraft, demonstrating clear evidence of Transverse Aeolian Dune formation processes.

Section 03: Quotes
PIXL Instrument Science Lead Yang Liu, in delivering groundbreaking analysis that Jezero Crater is a metamorphic feature formed by colossal meteor impact, challenging the established understanding of it as a hydraulic sediment deposition lakebed, commented on her landmark 2022 Science publication:
Sedimentary deposition of detrital olivine grains with cements is unlikely. The observed assemblage of coarse-grain augite and mesostasis with feldspar and Fe–Cr–Ti oxides has not previously been observed as a sedimentary cement and would not precipitate from fluids at near-surface temperatures and pressures.
